Ohio: Stop Suppressing the Black Vote

Jun 23 2006

Ohio's Secretary of State, Kenneth Blackwell, along with other Republicans in the state legislature recently implemented a scheme that will make it much harder for groups that register Black and low-income voters to do their work. If they get their way, Ohio will suppress the vote of tens of thousands of Black and low-income voters and set a dangerous precedent for the rest of the country.

On June 26th, the Ohio Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review will review Blackwell's plan. Please join us, along with People for the American Way, in calling on JCARR to stop this anti-democratic scheme in its tracks.
