Fox News and CBC Institute: Keep the pressure on

Black members of Congress on the Institute's board are acting like this isn't their responsibility to prevent the Institute from partnering with Fox. Now it’s time to call and tell them that it is.

Congressman Thompson needs to know that we see his silence as a lack of leadership. On his watch, the integrity of the CBC is being eroded.

As a Black American [or as someone who is very supportive of the Black community], I would like to know why Congressman Thompson, as Chair of the CBC Institute, is allowing a deal to be considered with Fox News, given Fox's pattern of denigrating Black people and other minorities. He hasn't taken leadership around this issue or even said anything, and I find that to be of great concern. I would ask that the Congressman publicly state that he does not support a partnership with Fox.
