We are raising money to support the legal defense of Robert Bailey, Jr., Carwin Jones, Bryant Purvis, Theo Shaw, and Jesse Ray Beard^*. ^*Marcus Jones, Mychal Bell's father, has asked us not to raise funds for his son, while the other five families continue to support our fundraising efforts. We distributed $33,150 to Mychal's attorney Louis Scott, before Mr. Jones asked that we not continue to raise funds for his son.

Contributions made via credit card or PayPal go directly to the Jena Six Defense Fund. This fund is managed by ColorOfChange, giving us the ability so can ensure funds are used only for bonafide legal expenses. This is also true of contributions made by check to the ColorOfChange.org Defense Fund. Prior to November 9th, we suggested that contributions made by check be made out to a fund controlled by the parents of the Jena 6. Now, in order to honor Marcus Jones' request that we not raise funds for his son, checks should be made out to the ColorOfChange.org Defense Fund; proceeds will be distributed to the other five defense teams.
